Reminder of tonight's Open Forum regarding St. Paul's School. Email distributed by Mr. Hinz on July 26th.
Dear Friends in Christ,
On July 10, 2017 the St. Paul’s Church Council recommended to the voters of St. Paul’s to exit the Joint Agreement for the operation of St. Paul’s Lutheran School. The rationale for this decision is to simplify the ministry of St. Paul’s School. Currently the way the school operates is often a challenge. Because of the joint nature of the organization, St. Paul’s school ran somewhat autonomously from the churches. Decisions about the wellbeing of the school would take months to make. Staffing challenges often pitted one congregation against the other. There is very little pastoral leadership on the school’s campus. The St. Paul’s Church Council feels that all of these challenges would be better addressed if St. Paul’s church assumed the full administration of the school. All staffing of the school would be done through St. Paul’s Lutheran Church.
It is important to note that this change would not take place until the 2018-2019 school year. During the current school year, St. Paul’s School would continue to operate as it has under the Joint Agreement.
The leaders of St. Paul’s are planning an Open Forum for 8/17/17 after the evening service, at about 7:40pm and a Voters’ Meeting for 8/20/17 at 1:30pm. If you have any questions or concerns, please address them to Pastor Vik, Pastor Ernest, or congregational president Rick Peters. Information is also available from any of our Church Council members, Principal Hinz, or Chairman of the Board of Child and Family Discipleship Chris Abel. If you have trouble reaching some of these people, please be patient as they may be out-of-town over the next few days.

What exciting news...St. Paul's won the Summer Library Award from the Fort Atkinson Library. Miss Minnetta will be presenting the trophy to school today at 11:00. If anybody is interested in having their kids here to be a part of receiving the trophy and a photo to be included for the newspaper, please stop down by 11:00 this morning. (Sorry, I know its a short notice.) Congratulations to our St. Paul's students for your enjoying your summer with some good reading!
Registration day is here! We look forward to seeing everybody, and the chance to meet our new families as well.
Registration will take place in the cafeteria from 3-7 PM. We will have many stations from athletics, music, lunch tickets and Pioneers. Families can purchase lunch tickets as well as assignment books and the necessary religious books.
Families are reminded to complete their TADS agreements prior to coming to registration. A station will be setup for anybody who may need to complete their TADS agreement.
Also, plan ahead on how you intend to use your SCRIP rebate. It can be applied to your purchases of books or lunch tickets or other misc. fees at registration or applied to your tuition accounts in TADS.
Please also come with your kids T-shirt sizes. We are ordering a school year theme shirt for all students courtesy of a private donation.
May God bless our day and our school year!

Thanks for your patience the last couple weeks while Scrip has been "closed". I've been working to get the software cleaned up and functional to serve us best in the upcoming years.
